This problem usually occurs during the authentication process. Please verify the following settings.

• The majority of this error is caused by an invalid username and/or password. Please keep in mind that your password is case sensitive.
• Verify you are dialing the correct access number for your area. If you need to find a local access number for your area please visit our Check Availability page.
• In Internet Explorer click on Tools> Internet Options. Then click on the Connections Tab. Verify your Web Bungie Internet Connection is set to default and click the option "Always dial my default connection".

• Click on the LAN Settings button. The following options should NOT be checked.
  • Automatically detect settings
  • Use automatic configuration script
  • Use a proxy server for your LAN

• Verify the Internet properties security settings are set to Typical.
• Highlight Web Bungie Internet and click on settings.

• Click on Properties.

• Click on the Security Tab.

• Make sure you select Typical (recommended settings) under Security options. Also make sure you select Allowed unsecured password.
• Click OK and try to connect again.
